Biomass power plants use combustibles that are renewable primary products for environmentally friendly power generation. The photo shows the bio mass plant in Malchin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. Siemens delivered the complete electric and instrumentation and control system, turboset with a steam turbine and the generator. The Malchin power plant burns mature timber and lemon peels from the adjacent pectin plant.
