Shuweihat combined cycle power plant

09/01/2005 | The sea water desalination unit of the Shuweihat combined cycle power plant (CCPP) in the United Arab Emirates. The multi-shaft plant is equipped with five SGT5-4000F gas turbines, two steam turbines and two air cooled generators. The capacity of the plant is 1500 megawatts. The sea water desalination unit has a drinking water output of 100 MiGD (million imperial gallons per day). The photo shows the auxilliary condenser for process steam.
