For over 100 years Siemens has manufactured electrical generators with state-of-the-art technology. Siemens global fleet comprises more than 9,000 generators with a total capacity exceeding 700 gigawatts (GW) and installed in plants of all different types: fossil-fueled and renewable power plants and also nuclear power plants. They achieve efficiencies of better than 99 percent. Depending on the power requirements, these highly efficient and reliable generators can be cooled by air, hydrogen or water.
