Steam turbines are used for compressor drives, generator drives and boiler feed water pump drives. The photo shows the blading of a SST-600 industrial steam turbine with a capacity of 100 megawatts at Goerlitz plant in Germany. The steam turbine was delivered to an industrial plant in Porto Maghera in Italy.
