Industrial steam turbines can be used for various purposes: industrial power plants, e.g. captive power plants in the chemical, petrochemical, sugar and textile industry, in pulp and paper mills, steel works and mines; for cogeneration and district heating plants; for waste-to-energy applications, e.g. waste incineration facilities; biomass power plants; for combined-cycle applications or in petrochemical plants and refineries.
