HV-Turbo now to be known as Siemens Turbomachinery Equipment

HV-Turbo A/S, based in Helsingør, Denmark, has been renamed Siemens Turbo-machinery Equipment A/S with immediate effect. This company, a manufacturer of compressors and air supply solutions was a subsidiary of the German Kühnle, Kopp und Kausch AG (KK&K) which was acquired by Siemens in late November 2006.
Siemens Turbomachinery Equipment A/S develops, manufactures and markets complete air supply solutions including compressors for waste water treatment and flue-gas desulphurization.
With the acquisition of KK&K Siemens has expanded its steam turbine and compressor portfolio in the lower capacity range. German KK&K AG was already been renamed Siemens Turbomachinery Equipment GmbH in June 2007.
The Power Generation Group (PG) of Siemens AG is one of the premier companies in the international power generation sector. In fiscal 2006 (which ended September 30), Siemens PG posted sales amounting to more than EUR10 billion and received new orders totaling EUR12.5 billion, according to U.S. GAAP. Group profit amounted to EUR782 million. On September 30, 2006, PG had a work force of approximately 36,400 worldwide.
