High efficiency thanks to opimized control
Using optimized control technology to improve efficiency is a solution that has been tried and tested in power plants of the most diverse types worldwide. One example of how this can be done is optimization of the combustion air using the PROFI CombustOptimizer, which can achieve a significant improvement in efficiency, depending on the plant.
SPPA-P3000 Process Optimization Solutions optimize the overall cycle efficiency thanks to better utilization of the power plant unit, e.g. by reducing throttling losses and optimizing the combustion air, the steam temperatures or the circulating water temperature.
Our solutions:
- SPPA-P3000 Low Loss Start: Cost-optimized startup
Performs continuous analysis, monitoring and optimization of the overall process and key components, supplies information about any departure from optimum condition, calculates the resulting costs, and highlights improvement potential
- SPPA-P3000 Best Point: Quality monitoring
Performs continuous analysis, monitoring and optimization of the overall process and key components, supplies information about any departure from optimum condition, calculates the resulting costs, and highlights improvement potential.
- SPPA-P3000 Sootblower Optimizer: Cost-optimized sootblowing
Calculates the optimum time for sootblowing for each separate sootblower group as a function of the current condition of the associated heat exchange surfaces.
- SPPA-P3000 Combustion Optimizer: Combustion optimization
Measures pulverized coal flow admitted to a burner, optimizing operation of the separate burners on this basis.
- SPPA-P3000 Temperature Optimizer: Optimization of steam temperature
Optimizes control action by the various final control elements for the spray attemperators, flue gas recirculation, biflux and triflux control valves, flue gas backpass dampers and tilting burners during startup and over the entire load range. The subordinate temperature controls ensure that temperatures are reliably held at their setpoints.
- SPPA-P3000 Fuel Optimizer: Fuel optimization
Minimizes fuel cost while at the same time ensuring stable operation of the power plant unit.
- SPPA-P3000 Low Throttling: Minimization of throttling losses
Reduces the degree of throttling for turbine valves, feedwater control valves and fan vanes for forced- and induced-draft fans to the amount actually needed for these to meet dynamic response requirements.
