SST-800 Steam Turbine (up to 150 MW)
The SST-800 steam turbine is a single-casing direct drive with reverse flow design, used for tailor-made applications for the most complex processes in industry and power generation. It operates at 3,000 or 3,600 rpm for generator drives up to 150 MW and at variable speed up to 5,000 rpm for compressor drives. The turbine can be used for both condensing and back-pressure applications.
The SST-800 is proven as compressor or generator drive in:
- Power plants – pure power production
- Combined cycle plants
- Industrial CHP (Combined Heat and Power), e.g. chemical industry, food industry, pulp and paper mills
- Petrochemical industry
- Seawater desalination plants
