UK’s largest operational onshore wind park. The wind farm has received wide recognition for its contribution to environmental objectives. It is partly located on an abandoned vast open-cast coal mine area which has been completely restored to shallow wetlands by the developer as part of a habitat management plan. The site also comprises grazed farmland and commercial forestry.

The SWT-2.3-82 VS wind turbine offers optimum performance at inland sites like Bippen in the Osnabrueck area. And consequently Bippen was the first wind farm project, which was equipped with the series production model of this variable speed Siemens turbine.
