Two different turbine models have been selected for this repowering project on the country side in Northern Germany, near to the Danish border. And one of those is the latest model in the Siemens product range, the 3.6 MW turbine for onshore and offshore applications.The Braderup Wind Farm is one of the biggest repowering projects in Germany. The new eight Siemens turbines replace 15 existing ones of 750 kW each. So the installed capacity was doubled, the number of turbines was reduced by almost 50 per cent and simultaniously the yearly production has been approximately tripled.
