The facility supports Siemens Energy Service's Field Service activities by supplying tooling and equipment used during maintenance and repair outages at customer sites – both in the Americas and elsewhere around the world. It features inside storage and shop area as well as an equally large area for the outside storage of tool containers.
Bad Hersfeld, GermanyBad Hersfeld, Germany, designs, manufactures and installs industrial fans. The experienced staff for engineering and manufacturing as well as service, guarantees efficient management and technical support for industrial fans worldwide. The facilities allows for manufacturing of impellers up to 9.500 kW or 5300 mm diameter. The factory is located in the centre of Germany.
Berlin, GermanyThe Berlin, Germany Gas Turbine Repair Facility serves as an additional outlet for repairs and service. Employing extensive OEM engineering support and comprehensive design capability, the employees are able to provide the latest repair and upgrade technologies. By utilizing accurate fixtures, they minimize assembly time during outages.

Brno, Czech RepublicBrno Service profits from close, direct and long-time relations to customers (history of steam turbine production and service in Brno is more than 100 years long). As a result of such relations, the amount of contracts won in the financial year 2006/2007 came close to the amount of 1 billion CZK.
Among the interesting projects ranks the contract for a retrofit of a turbine for Mittal Steel Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina; this turbine was originally produced by Jugoturbina Karlovac, Croatia, (Alstom). The order amounting to ca 6 million EUR shall become the first project of retrofits of “competitor” turbines that are to be within the competence of the Brno Service as the only one in the entire Siemens.
Currently, the Service employs 70 people. Owing to the ever increasing amount of orders, the plan is to increase the number of employees working in the turbine servicing, namely by dozens more in the whole range of professions.

Serving Siemens and non-Siemens system needs, the Center provides a full array of repair services for steam turbines, steam valves and electric generators – for both planned and unplanned equipment outages. Additionally, it is one of the few facilities in the U.S.A. that services nuclear-contaminated components. Half of the Charlotte Turbine-Generator Service Center space is devoted to service shop activities.

Fort Payne, U.S.A.Siemens Energy Service's Electrical Components Plant is located in Fort Payne, Alabama, 55 miles south of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and 90 miles north of Birmingham, Alabama, in the United States.
The plant manufactures new and replacement generator and exciter components including stator coils, rotor coils, parallel rings, retaining ring liners, slot cells, gaskets and insulation products.
Frankenthal, GermanyFrankenthal, Germany, is Siemens PGs’ service location for steam turbines and compressors. The works of our experienced manufacturing and engineering staff comprises efficient repairs and modification of steam turbines and compressors worldwide.Frankenthal location has its own service workshop. We are specialized in overhauling of complete steam turbines including test run at our test field. Frankenthal has also its own field service including technical staff for repairand overhaul of steam turbines and compressors worldwide. The factory is located in the north of Frankenthal, nearby the motorway and the railway station. Additionally, the Product Lead Centre (PLC) of TLT-Turbo GmbH is located in Frankenthal. It is a Siemens PG’ service location and is competent and responsible for the KK&K fan system. Hamilton, Canada The Hamilton Turbomachinery Center, located in southern Ontario at the western edge of Lake Ontario, Canada, is partnered with a sister plant in Berlin, Germany. The facility encompasses 20 acres of land (eight hectares), with approximately 550,000 square feet (51,000 square meters) of manufacturing and shop service space.
The Hamilton facility has operated continuously since 1903. Today, it is equipped with the sophisticated machine tools and technology needed to meet the turbine manufacturing and service requirements of the power industry. The plant offers technical expertise in design and engineering and R&D capability. Specialists use the latest repair service technologies to repair and replace turbine discs and blade rings, transitions, compressor blades, rotors and diaphragms.
Hamilton, U.S.A.The North American headquarter is able to provide inspection and repair services for a variety of rotating equipment, including pumps, steam turbines, gas turbines and compressors. Also available at this center are the supply, distribution and fabrication of spare parts for Siemens, Demag, Delaval and Westinghouse equipment. The 300,000 sq. ft. facility is used to store major machining, welding, winding, installation and NDE tooling to support the "Factory in the Field" concept. The tooling allows Penn Hall project engineers, field service engineers and technicians located all across the country to perform almost any factory workscope at any customer's site. The facility is also used to store major turbine generator equipment such as rotors, stators, stationaries and other components. Some repair work is performed at the site as well.
Newcastle, UK The Newcastle facility focuses on steam turbine generator service and design engineering. It is also equipped to provide comprehensive services to support combined cycle power plants in the UK.
The facility contains extensive machining, service and test facilities, which cater to the complete overhaul of turbines and generator rotors from small industrial units to the largest utility unit sizes. Full balance and overspeed test facilities are also available. Penn Hall, U.S.A. Our Penn Hall facility is located 22 miles east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is home to Siemens Energy Service's Field Services. From this location, project engineers support field service engineers and technicians located across the Americas in performing major repair, upgrades, maintenance and inspection on the Siemens, Westinghouse, Allis Chalmers and Parsons turbine generator fleet. Almost any major service offered by the factory can be performed at customer sites. The facility is the home for nondestructive testing for combustion turbines, steam turbine and electric generator components. Conventional NDE as well as sophisticated and automated inspections are performed using Ultrasonic phased array, eddy current arrays, Siemens acoustic thermography, and high temperature borescope inspection at temperatures of up to 1000 degrees F. The facility also features a development center for specialty tooling and robotics needed to support difficult repair challenges.
St. Petersburg, Russia A workshop with 10000 square meters production area and 50 tons crane capability is equipped with necessary machineries and completed with specialists of quality control, service, renovation and manufacturing of all type components. Equipment includes high speed balancing machine for rotors and total assembly of 10 MW gas turbines taken away from compressor stations after approx. 100 000 operation hours.
